Remuneration: £45,000 + 15% bonus

The role of the A&D Specification Sales Manager – Laminate Flooring and Building Products will involve:

• Specification field sales position selling our clients manufactured range of decorative laminate MDF and chipboard surfaces and their manufactured range of imported laminate for flooring
• 100% specification led role, you will be responsible for winning projects with A&D architects and interior designers
• 80% account management, 20% new business development
• Responsible for circa 400 top accounts
• Tasked with winning £1m of specification projects per month
• 4 days a week on the road visiting architects and interior designers in central London, one day working from home/ administration
• Supplying product information to architects and interior designers such training, technical advice, colour schemes trend presentations, and support
• Vast majority of your time focussed on winning commercial projects typically between £50k-£100k
• Working in conjunction with one other specification manager across London
• Typical customers include Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, and numerous hotel groups (e.g. Premier Inn, Holiday Inn Express) as well as student accommodation

The ideal applicant will be an A&D Specification Sales Manager – Laminate Flooring and Building Products with:

• Must have a proven field sales specification background within A&D architects and interior designers
• Ideally sold decorative, tactile/ aesthetically pleasing interior products such as; carpets, curtains, fabrics, flooring, wall coverings etc
• Proven account management/ relationships management skills
• A sociable personality, happy to network outside of conventional working hours when required
• Comfortable building relationships with architects and interior designers, including lunch/dinner and other social appointments (outside of conventional working hours)
• Self sufficient problem solver with a learn as you develop attitude
• Relative sales account competencies (negotiation, commercial, awareness, decision making) preferred
