Area to be covered: North (ideally based M62) or Central (DE, NG, LE, CV, NN, MK, LU, AL, OX, HP, WD, HA, UB, NW & W)Remuneration: £40,000-£44,000 + £12,000 Commission

Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid BMW Car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager Plumbing, Heating and Pipework will involve:

• Field sales position, selling a newly manufactured range of MLCP (multi-layer composite pipes), MVHR (ventilation) and belowground drainage/ stormwater management
• Selling into predominantly plumbing and drainage contractors/ M&E contractors and plumbing and drainage installers
• Smaller amount of time back-selling into independent plumbing & heating merchants (buying group members) associated with our client’s main distributor
• Targeted to achieve circa £1.5m for the North or £1m for the Central area (North currently achieving £700,000 and Central £300,000)
• Predominantly a new business development role as both areas due to company growth
• Typically 4 days a week on the road, 1 day either working from home or our client’s Midlands based office
• Promoting a very well-known European brand with industry leading products (small but growing reputation in the UK market)
• Order values for a typical high end home MLCP £5,000, MVHR £5,000-£6,000 and below ground drainage/ stormwater management £10,000-£50,000 (number One manufacturer of drainage products for Germany)
• Looking to progress into residential schemes and flats

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Plumbing, Heating and Pipework with:

• Plumbing and heating industry field sales professional background
• Proven track record selling into plumbing and heating installers, drainage installers, plumbing contractors or M&E contractors
• Ideally with some experience of having back-sold through plumbing and heating merchants
• Preferably with some knowledge of either MLCP (multi-layer composite pipes), MVHR (ventilation) or belowground drainage/ stormwater management
• Autonomous in nature
• Not reliant on a leading UK brand name/ comfortable acting as a brand ambassador
• IT Savvy, able to create sales plan
• Energetic self-starter capable of handling multiple tasks to deadlines
• Calm trustworthy and professional approach
