The Role of the Business Unit Head
Managing a team selling Cardiovascular and ICU Therapies product portfolio.
Direct line management of 1 x Sales Manager (Cardiovascular), 1 x Team Leader (ICU Therapies) & 1 x Therapy Development Manager. Approx 21 people in total in the team.
This is a multi-faceted role, where you will be involved in the development and implementation of go-to market strategies, in order to deliver the net sales and profitability targets for the defined portfolio through to the leadership and hands on development of the Cardiovascular and ICU Therapies Team.
Support the Senior Management Team in developing senior level contacts within the NHS, with an overarching responsibility for Cardiovascular & ICU therapies.
You will motivate and inspire all members of the teams, ensuring that everything is focused on putting patients first and delivered in-line with company values.
Establish a culture of high performance coaching, establishing benchmarks for team development and ensuring regular coaching of the sales team.
Take a personal lead on strategic initiatives, designed to increase their footprint with the theatre space.
Recruit, build manage and develop the capabilities of the sales team.
Be a highly visible, deeply-engaged leader, manager and coach for the team.
Lead, operate and drive change in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
Direct and support the sales team to achieve agreed objectives and ensure that they function as a cohesive unit.

The Ideal Person for the Business Unit Head
Looking for candidates with 2nd line management experience.
Must come from acute setting.
An experienced Senior Sales Manager or Sales Director for 7 years +
Experience of managing at least 2 multi-division and multi-region sales teams.
Extensive understanding of NHS Procurement, Finance and Policy.
Consultative and solutions selling experience and expertise.
Demonstrable experience in a successful business transformation process, with an instrumental and identifiable role in the success.
Experience in a cardiovascular environment and experience in building therapy adoption through KOL management and collaboration with marketing would be a huge advantage.
Demonstrable ability to develop knowledge of complex instruments and organisational structure.
