Location: Remote (ideally based Bristol or London) Remuneration: £30,000 – £40,000neg

The role of the Designer – Timber Structures will involve:

• Designer position dealing with a range of timber frame projects for main contractors and house builders
• Prepare 3D design drawings for timber structures, connections and interface details
• Producing 2D drawings for each project stage including: arrangement drawings, detail drawings and fabrication drawings
• Ensure that all designs meet the client requirements so that offsite manufacturing can take place
• Liaise regularly with architects, engineers, and contractors providing excellent customer service
• Work closely with internal departments providing support and resolving queries
• Ensure designs meet quality standards, building regulations, and H&S requirements
• Working on projects varying in value from £250,000 to circa £2m

The ideal applicant will be a Designer – Timber Structures industry with:

• Must have design experience within the construction industry, ideally dealing with timber frame / timber structures / timber construction
• Must have experience working with Rhino3D and Grasshopper
• Ideally will have other software experience such as: Revit, AutoCAD, CS Suite etc
• Would be a suitable role for a Timber Designer, Draughtsperson, Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist
• Must be comfortable working remotely
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communicator written and verbally
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
