Domestic Estimator Location: Epsom Salary: GBP22,672 per year Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Job type: Full-time, permanent Summary of the Domestic Estimator: The role is office-based, working closely with surveyors and team member to provide a service to a group of Gas Installation Engineers on all aspects of materials and preparation of quotations required by the Gas Installation Department to achieve its objective. Responsibilities of the Domestic Estimator: Appraise and edit property survey reports and ensure that the information provided by survey engineers are operationally feasible and adequate for purpose, verifying accuracy by liaison with Surveyors/Supervisors. Update each job highlighting materials required and operatives hours to enable job to be booked correctly and to allow procurement of materials once the job is booked in. Correctly insert schedule of rate codes to cover all aspects of the job ready to generate a quote letter to the clients. Through the job open in the system generate a quote letter from a template utilising the correct system/boiler configuration. Once quote has been completed e-mail to the appropriate client Process purchase orders for jobs booked in the future, in a timely fashion, long with in day materials orders Reply to relevant e-mails as they are received including client queries.
