Here at Sodexo, we are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Electrical Engineers to be based at MARS Wrigley Confectionery in Slough.

This is an exciting opportunity that will allow you to utilize your skills and grow your engineering career. Reporting into the Hard Services Supervisor your focus will be maintenance and reactive activity to a wide range of Electrical Building Services equipment. You will undertake within your levels of competency, inspection and reactive activity covering a wide range of Mechanical Building Services equipment ensuring the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services and fabric equipment on the site.

Consistent relevant experience is essential; this will suit someone with proven experience in electrical building services and plant engineering with a good all-round working knowledge of mechanical systems and relevant qualifications.

Main Responsibilities
Undertake training and appointment as a Competent Person (CP) in line with Mars, Slough ‘Flash 1’ Electrical Safety Standards. This is a mandatory assessment and failure to complete within the probationary period would lead to termination of contract.
Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
Be proactive to identify and report faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve.
Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client
Remain flexible with regards to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.
Assume responsibility for ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and site-specific health, safety, and welfare policies.
Attend health and safety training as instructed by your manager to ensure that risks in the workplace are reduced.
Maintain and manage critical spares on site.

The Ideal Candidate
C&G 2382-12 (18th Edition BS7671:2008) ideally with C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
IOSH passport and CSCS card
Recognised formal electrical apprenticeship
HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
Consistent relevant experience in electrical building services and plant engineering with a good all-round working knowledge of mechanical systems.
Previous appointment as AP/CP for one or more of the following disciplines, LV, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights (preferred)
Experience of Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM). (Preferred)
Experience of working with HVAC Systems (preferred)
Excellent communications both written and verbal.
Numerate and computer literate.
Strong sense of client focus
Working knowledge of H & S. Working knowledge of relevant current legislation and guidance
Personal presentation must be of a high professional standard
Prioritizing own workload and working under own initiative with minimal supervision.
Good organisational skills with the ability to organise others.
The ability to listen to others understand and interpret their views
Must hold UK driving licence
Proof of eligibility to work in UK

Package Description

£41,000pa + great benefits

Location: MARS Wrigley Confectionery, Slough

Permanent

Work Pattern – 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday 7am-4pm / 8am-5pm

There is a requirement for out of hours call out approx. 1 in every 6 weeks on a rota basis 6pm to 7am Mon-Sun £90 per week + paid overtime for site attendance
