Electrical Supervisor Full-time, Permanent Reading £38k – £40k (negotiable on experience) Our client is currently working on numerous construction projects within the Reading and surrounding areas. They are currently looking to increase their labour force and employ a number of Electrical Supervisors. Their work covers all aspects of the Electrical Industry, including Residential, Industrial and Commercial. As an Electrical Supervisor you will be working on a full-time permanent basis, working 45 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary, plus a company van and benefits. Responsibilities for this Electrical Supervisor will include: Manage and supervisor of staff and sub-contractors Recording and reporting additional work on priced jobs for invoicing Interpretation of site drawings and project information Assisting with testing and commissioning of installations Ordering materials and ensuring that the correct materials are on site when required Attending site meetings and program planning with the Project Manager Liaising with clients, acceptance of client documentation, permits to work etc Liaising with other sub-contractors. Consistent delivery of an efficient and cost-effective electrical installation Undertaking and recording statutory inspections of plant and equipment Report all accidents, incidents and near misses What we are looking for in our ideal Electrical Supervisor: Ensuring the completion of site installation work is on schedule and within budget Ensuring efficient operation of the site team Ensuring the personal health and safety and that of others in your charge and around you Ensure all tools and equipment are on site when required and hired plant is off hired as soon as it is finished with. Monitor and inspect the quality of work on site to ensure work is completed right the first time Competent in all aspects of electrical discipline, with supervisory experience. Minimum 17th Edition I.E.E Wiring Regulations and ECS Gold card qualifications are essential. Skills, Knowledge and Experience ECS Gold Card (essential) SSSTS or SMSTS Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification where appropriate Experience in managing teams of electricians and sub-contractors Punctuality and reliability Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures Numeric and reading skills Prepared to take responsibility for self and others Good communication skills Able to work on own initiative Ability to give and take instruction Range of benefits though not limited to: Company Van Fuel Card Pension scheme 20 days Annual Leave entitlement plus Bank Holidays
