L&Q are looking for a number of Customer Focused, Electricians to be part of their in-house Maintenance Team. The focus will be within East London and Essex plus surrounding areas.
The role will be dealing with all aspects of electrical maintenance within our properties. Including Fuse board upgrades, Fault finding, Accessory changes, electrical testing as required and ensuring our homes are safe compliant and habitable. The focus will be on high quality work, outstanding customer service and a right first-time attitude.
To be considered for this role candidates must hold the following (you must mention your qualifications within your application):
NVQ Level 3 Award in Electrotechnical or older Level 3 equivalent Industry recognised craft qualification
( Must have AM2 were necessary as per EAS Qualifications Guide Dec 2022)
Or
Meet Gold Card level for an ‘Installation or Maintenance’ Electrician by assessment and evidence of competence via the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) (Previously known as JIB Gold Card)- Other ECS card types will not be accepted.
Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671:2018)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the scope of electrical works stated.
Desirable
Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of in-service Electrical Installations (QCF) or equivalent
This will need to be referenced on the candidate application.
Our Operatives are supplied with an L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment. You will begin the day from your home address where you will travel to jobs which are distributed to your PDA (hand-held device).
The Person
Working knowledge of a building and/or housing environment
Able to deliver excellent customer service (essential)
Relevant City and Guilds/NVQ qualifications (or qualified by experience)
Able to use a PDA (hand-held device) and on occasion a computer
Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
Must have own hand tools (larger tools and specialist equipment will be arranged if needed)

We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered.
