Location: Birmingham Snowhill
As a Environment Manager at HS2 you will Manage and assure the area environmental assessment work (including associated assessments) developed for the hybrid Bill for Phase 2b (East Leg) in accordance with organisational, sponsor and parliamentary requirements

Skills:
Ability to manage individuals, consultants and to work across multidisciplinary teams.
Communication skills: ability to produce and present data and numeracy-based information, with ability to rationally explain, explore and discuss environmental issues to a diverse stakeholder.
IT skills with ability to use Office based software, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, coupled with an aptitude towards learning and utilising new software in the office environment (training will be provided in the use of the internal document management systems).
Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental! built environmental discipline.
Understanding of GIS and document management systems.
Membership of a relevant environmental! built environmental organisation.
Knowledge of EU and UK environment legislation and current best practice guidance
Type of Experience:
Experience of developing environmental assessments (EIA) and design on infrastructure engineering projects.
Experience of preparing! reviewing material for and attending public consultations.
Experience of managing overlapping and conflicting deadlines which are the nature of a constantly changing project environment with diverse stakeholders.
