HGV Vehicle Technician

We have a great opportunity for an experienced HGV vehicle technician working at our Shoeburyness depot to make our team complete. As a valued member of the team, you will be working within a fast-paced environment with many colleagues. Applicants should be self-motivated and capable of working on their own initiative. Experience in a similar environment is preferred. The role: To Repair our company vehicles, mainly DAF in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current regulations Good house keeping and health and safety routines Ensuring all jobs are completed correctly and deadlines are met Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly Utilize all PPE requirements To communicate effectively to the transport management team Flexibility to work shift pattern if required Have a basic knowledge of plant i.e forklift and other types of equipment Required Skills: City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent would be desirable Good personal and communication skills Class 2 entitlement and class 1 desirable Basic level of numeracy and literacy All MOT preparations and mandatory VOSA inspections All fault diagnosis and repair Should be self-motivated with initiative Welding, fabrication would be desirable Also some Auto electrical knowledge You will be contracted to 45 Hours per week (8am 6pm) with overtime available paid at X1.5 rate Plus, a monthly performance based bonus of up to £100.00 Benefits include: Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay Monthly bonus scheme Monthly incentives and rewards Free onsite parking Free eye test A flexible & approachable management team We do not work over Christmas or New Years!
