Junior Digital Transformation Engineer Bridgwater, Somerset Permanent £30,000 £35,000 + uplifts, lodgings, and excellent benefits The Client My client is recognised as a leading independent engineering and services businesses in the UK. With a turnover of more than £500m and 3,000 employees, they are proud of their history of developing great people through their investment in training. The company works in a variety of sectors within the building and infrastructure industry. They are currently working in a joint venture on Europe s largest construction project near Bridgwater, Somerset to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control. They currently have a requirement for two Junior Digital Transformation Engineers to join their team. Responsibilities Provide support to the joint venture partners and associated contractors in the digital transformation programme, PLM SWITCH. Promote and track progress against all SWITCH onboarding checklists in line with the SWITCH onboarding window requirements (Connect Org, IP Whitelisting, Guest Access Package (GAP) & User Information forms completion). Provide technical support to contractors in completing pre-onboarding requirements (user registration, GAP, Training, etc) and engage with Service Integrator to expedite account creation and subsequent access. Liaise with PLM Service Integrator, in support of emergent user onboarding requirements, system tests, IP Whitelisting and assessment of related MyIT ticket status. Track contractor onboarding sub task completion rates and communicate regular completion percentage figures to business area(s). Take action to drive percentage completion up throughout the onboarding windows. Provide first line response technical support to onboarded users in SWITCH access issues, capturing any related non-functionality in the creation and tracking of MyIT tickets and escalate support through Business As Usual (BAU) process and support model hierarchy. Schedule and support regular touch point Ways of Working (WoWs) with contractors, continually upskilling user base, as SWITCH PLM tool develops and adoption rate increases. Analyses, Support and Report on data quality and system configuration issues covering large complex data sets. Travel to suppliers location within the UK and overseas as and when required. Requirements Attained or working towards a higher education qualification in Engineering or Project Management discipline, or at least 2 years of industry experience. Experienced and competent in the use of industry recognized PLM system (Vault, Catia, TeamCenter) in the management and control of complex projects. Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher). Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) accreditation will be required prior to working on any HPC related sites. Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
