The Qualifying Supervisor role:
As Qualifying Supervisor, you will be overseeing the Solar PV Electricians and ensuring that they have the necessary training and development to allow them to provide first class installations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Ensuring that we comply with all aspects of NICEIC accreditation and other registration bodies+ Acting as the technical representative for NICEIC & MCS+ Providing any technical support as required in relation to our NICEIC accreditation+ Installing non-standard complex Solar PV and battery solutions and training our electricians on how to install these jobs+ Ensuring the quality and compliance of the day-to-day Work of the business+ Ensuring that the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly+ Ensuring that the business’ premises, equipment, documentation and records are available for inspection when required by NICEIC.+ Safeguarding all unused NICEIC forms of certification and reporting any loss+ Advising electricians and the management team on any technical / electrical matters+ Inspecting Electrical certification issued by all electricians within the business+ Conducting technical interviews with electricians that are looking to join our business+ Testing and inspecting a % of the products we purchase and products that are pre-fabricated in-house
About you:
+ Gained experience in both commercial and industrial environments+ Have at least two consecutive years supervisory or managerial responsibility for the standard of electrical installation work+ Understand the Electricity at Work Regulations, current edition of BS 7671, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.+ City & Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Part 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent+ City & Guilds Inspection and Testing 2391 (or be willing to complete within 6 months of appointment)+ Hold a current ECS/CSCS Card+ Solar PV Qualification is desirable, but training will be provided+ Experience in installing Solar PV systems – New Build and Non-Standard+ A keen eye for detail+ Analytical and highly organisedHigh standard of written and verbal communication
