Regional Buyer

Location: Based in the Doncaster office with hybrid working opportunities

Salary: Offering up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:15am until 4:15pm

Do you?

Have previous experience as Buyer within the housing or construction industry
Have the knowledge and awareness of the current market and utilise this within your work
Have the ability to clearly and professional negotiate matters to reach the desired outcome
Have excellent communications skills, written and spoken English
Have good attention to detail and technical ability
Have excellent IT Skills
Have excellent time Management

The Role

The procurement team is expanding and are looking for an experienced buyer to join the company to operate either projects based in the Midlands or Yorkshire. The main responsibilities surrounding this role will be handling all live developments in your region, offering support to the team and third parties involved.

Other duties include:

Negotiating and leading tender processes this will include; document preparation, selection of supplier, speaking within the team to allocate appropriate sub-contractors, compare quotes and material availability.
Continuous communication with all parties involved within the project to ensure it is kept within the timeline and budget.
Reviewing project status and costing accordingly.
Understanding the market and changes within this that may affect the projects, additionally tracking material costing.
Have contract awareness and be able to create and deliver these.
Monitor KPI’s and ensure the team is working to full efficiency and delivering work of a high quality.

As regional buyer it will be your role to ensure you maintain the high standards and quality of service as creating by the company and bring value to the role. You will be experienced as a buyer within the housing industry and the appropriate background to fulfil this role.
