The role of the Sales Manager – Lighting Products will involve:

• Field sales position selling a distributed range of LED and Induction lighting focused on reducing energy consumption as well as reducing lighting costs and cutting carbon emissions
• Targeting primarily industrial and commercial end users
• Typically selling into MD & FD of SME’s and Facilities managers, Operations Managers, Health & Safety managers and Engagement Compliance Managers of larger businesses
• Predominantly a new business development role
• Conducting initial consultations followed up by a complete lighting proposals, cost surveys, information for customers etc.
• Average order values £35,000, but can range from £10,000 to £500,000
• Supported by an internal sales team of 10 who will set your appointments for you, allowing you the time to focus on converting their leads
• Typically Monday’s working from centrally located office, other four days on the road visiting customers
• 4-6 appointments per week (national remit)

The ideal applicant will be a Sales Manager – Lighting Products with:

• Sales experience within electrical or lighting
• Field sales background preferred
• Open to electrical wholesale experience looking for progression into field sales role
• A “just gets it” mentality
• Product knowledge can be taught, however any knowledge of LED or Induction lighting may be advantageous
• Highly organised and capable
• Comfortable with long periods in the car/ lots of driving
