Job Title: Specification Sales Manager – Roof Coatings and SundriesIndustry Sector: B2B, Paint Contractors, Roofing Contractors, Main Contractors, Specialist Wall & Floor Sub Contractors, Waterproofing Contractors, Roofing Merchants, Paints, Coatings and Waterproofing

Area to be covered: National – based North West & Midlands

Remuneration: £40,000-£50,000 basic £60,000+ OTEBenefits: Car Allowance & benefits packageThe role of the Specification Sales Manager Roof Coatings and Sundries will involve:

• Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of floor and wall paints, sundries, roof coatings and built up liquid applied waterproofing systems
• 75% of your time winning project specifications with architects and other specifiers
• 25% selling into various contractors; paint contractors, specialist wall and floor sub contractors, building contractors and main contractors
• New business development role, you must have the capability to leverage some of your own existing architectural and other specification contacts
• Targeted to achieve circa 250,000 litres of sales, approx. £1m revenue
• Targeting your own contacts fro within the industry
• Account sizes will vary from £5,000 up to £20,000 for small accounts and £100,000-£200,000 for large scale projects (aim to close 6-7 of these per annum)
• Ideally 1-2 days a week at our clients office/ factory in Cheshire, 3-4 days on the road

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Roof Coatings and Sundries with:

• Must have sold roof coatings allied products
• Must have field sales experience with architects and other specifiers
• Proven track record in field sales
• Knowledge of roof coating or waterproofing would be advantageous
• Ideally with a network of contacts within architects and other specifiers
• Contacts within roof coating contractors, specialist wall and floor sub contractors, building contractors or main contractors is not essential
• New business hunter
• Self sufficient
• Friendly rapport builder
• Comfortable with heights (going on roofs)
