Interaction Recruitment are looking for an experienced Trade Counter Sales Executive from a Construction background to join a well-known Builders Merchant based in Brockley. This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm and 1 Saturday on 1 off 7:00am to 10:30am. This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning company that truly values their staff and progression.

This job involves:

• processing orders
• serving customers who come into store
• building rapport with customers
• keeping store stocked and presentable
• answering inbound calls from customers and suppliers
• supporting the yard operatives as and when needed
• providing product information
• cross selling
• helping customers with product and quantity amounts required for their specific jobs when needed

The successful candidate will have/be:

• previously worked within a trade counter position within a builder’s merchant environment
• excellent customer service and sales skills (inbound calls)
• comfortable building rapport with customers face to face and over the phone
• reliable and trustworthy
• looking to progress grow within the company
• fluent English speaking, reading and writing
• computer literate
• a team player and will have the ability to work on own initiative
